_underscore are a creative architecture and interiors practice based in London and Bath, Somerset.

We specialise in thoughtful and beautiful new homes, house extensions, residential refurbishments, workspace and art studio projects. Our work is crafted with careful attention to space, light, materials, and a connection to nature; we believe that good architecture can have a positive impact on the way we live.

The practice is led by Matt and Ben, who bring extensive experience to each project, while combining a relaxed and personal approach.

We work alongside our network of builders, engineers, specialist suppliers and craftspeople to deliver buildings which are healthy, energy efficient and support wellbeing.

Our work has been widely recognised through awards and publications, including shortlisting for the AJ Manser Medal for best completed house in the UK.
